So What IS For Dinner?

Tate surprised us today.  He has essentially been asleep all day and night since Thursday of last week, and that is what I expected today.  But the opposite happened; he was wide awake and in a great mood all day.  He had an appointment this morning to get Erwinia shots, but he didn’t need any additional treatment, and we got home relatively quickly.

We have been having trouble getting a certain prescription filled that was finally available today.  It’s supposed to help with stomach pain, and judging by Tate’s experience with it today, it really works!  Tate was eating all afternoon.  It’s sad and infuriating the prescription has been sitting unfilled at the pharmacy because the drug was on back order everywhere.  Greg is excellent at chasing down prescriptions; he just couldn’t get his hands on it.

Tate had some spaghetti and meatballs for lunch and then spent the afternoon going through Magic cards, listening to music, and hanging out with his cat.  Our sweet neighbor brought us some freshly baked bread, and Tate ate three slices!  After he finished his bread, he looked up and asked in an exasperated tone, “So what is for dinner?”  I laughed.  He hasn’t wanted dinner for several days in a row and was suddenly holding me accountable for a meal.  We have food, but he didn’t want any of it.  There is rotisserie chicken and Brussels sprouts and a variety of other “healthy” foods I would love for him to eat.  Tate ended up eating cheese pizza and pot stickers.  I’m calling it a win.  I really hate sharing my Brussels sprouts.
