A Tough Read

Tate looks and feels better than he has in months. He came out of his room several times today, wanting some food or to hang out with the dogs. Best of all, he has not taken any pain medication for more than two weeks.
The other day I printed every every post of “The Dwayne,” as my sister calls it, to send to someone that is interested in Tate’s journey but chooses life without the internet. There were so many hard days and sad pictures in that stack of paper. Greg’s comment: “It’s a tough read.”

It is a tough read. I look back at the posts frequently and find it unbelievable that a human body could physically and emotionally take such a beating. Yet here Tate is smiling and the family continues to serve, love, hope, and accept as it is so so big and beyond one’s control.
Good for Tate, good for you.
